I’m back home from Forum:NE. Really looking forward to sleeping in a real bed again, and really, really looking forward to a day off tomorrow.
One of the highlights of the weekend was yesterday afternoon’s ‘Image Bearers in Mission’ session. We had a number of different sessions, looking at key areas of life (eating, playing, sleeping, working, and social networking), and helping the students to think through a ‘Christian way’ of doing them.
I was leading the session on ‘Social Networking for Jesus’. I had fun preparing it, and fun chatting it through with the students.
And, since we talked a bit about YouTube, and since I had a video that I wanted to share with you all, I’ve just set up an account for myself on yet another social network.
This is a bit of film of three CU members, and a CUG, doing a bit of drumming outside of the church last week. They did this every day in the run up to the start of each lunchbar, in an effort to attract a bit of attention for the event, and it really worked. The video really doesn’t do them justice, but it’ll give you a glimpse at least.
In summary: YouTuber.
This is a great idea! I love at the end of the video you can hear someone shouting “Oi! What are you doing?” haha
