surrounded by clouds

On snow

It is snowing in Carlisle. Still. It’s pretty, and cold, and so unusual for this time of year. We hardly ever get snow here, and when we do it’s not usually until much later in the season – like late January/early February time.

The cats are loving it. They’re a bit scared to go outside, but they’re very much enjoying sitting on the windowsill  and staring out the falling flakes – much like small children. It’s pretty cute.

Meanwhile, I’m in the process of knitting up a storm of Christmas presents – and as usual not sure that I have enough time left between now and Friday to get everything finished. I can’t show you pictures of the works in progress at the moment – due to the fact that that would rather ruin the ‘surprise’ factor for the intended recipients, but here’s some other photos of the moment:

In summary: knitting.
