I went for a lovely visit to Keswick to see my lovely sister and her beautiful children.
Not much May sunshine sadly – but mountains and fresh air, steak baguette for lunch and no rain, so all in all: good day.
Then back to Carlisle this evening for home group. We’re doing a study series on ethics type stuff at the moment, and tonight it was all about wealth and tithing and all that jazz.
It was a pretty interesting discussion. Lots of questions – how much should we give away? Where and who should we give it too? Should Christians have savings? How much stuff should we buy – should we only buy necessities, can we have ‘luxuries’, and how many are too many?
No answers mind you. I really don’t know. Though to be honest it’s not a massive issue at the moment (since I’ve got no job and no money) I know that my current situation is soon coming to an end and I want to be ready. So if you have any answers for me yourself – please feel free to share.
In summary: confuzzled.
