On new songs

I thought I’d write today’s post while I know I can. So welcome to blogging from a vestibule on a Cross Country train from Newcastle to Durham.

Today I’m on the mood for recommending some tunes, specifically some songs I was listening to on the bus this morning.

Now I’m a bit of a hymn geek – love the words and love the tunes. If you’re not, then that’s a shame for you, and you should really try to embrace the genre, and if you are a fan may I please recommend ‘Red Mountain Church’ to you. Lots of hymns, done in a pretty awesome way – I’m particularly enjoying ‘Dearly we’re bought’ from ‘The Gadsby Project’. We sang it a bunch at Keswick this year and it’s great.

Also, from ‘Sovereign Grace Music’ album ‘Psalms’ I’m enjoying ‘Out of the depths’, which is v. beautiful.

Both available from iTunes! Hope you like them too.

I’m summary: loving hymns.
