On cultural pursuits

I have had an absolutely delightful day.

It was the first day of 2011 where I went outside without my coat.

I spent a wonderful hour with lovely Emma, beginning to read Hosea, and doing a whistle-stop tour through Old Testament history.

Kate and I went on a cultural jaunt to the BALTIC gallery. We looked at three different exhibitions, one of paintings, two with films.

We both liked the pictures, and Kate liked one of the video artists, whilst I preferred the other.

We strolled around in the spring sunshine, and talked about Newcastle and history and Jesus.

We had delicious lunch, and restorative coffee.

We browsed shops and discussed the delights of all things Apple, and tried to understand the popular appeal of Hollister.

And I made the wonderful discovery that Fenwick’s foodhall sells both biltong and Lucky Charms.

Deep, deep joy.

What a fandabidosie day.

In summary: J’adore spring.
