On students reaching students

Today I am at Newcastle houseparty.

We have Roger Simpson and MJ Axelson joining us, as they will be coming to Newcastle in February to help the CU as they put on the annual ‘events week’.

Mission weeks or Events weeks are an exciting part of the CU year. The CU spends all year sharing the gospel with their friends and course-mates, but this week is a key time in helping that to happen as various events are put on for the CU people to invite their friends along to, so that they can hear about Jesus.

This weekend I’m doing a seminar on ‘Making the most of Events Week’ – hoping to help prepare the freshers in particular and explain what events week is, and how it fits in to the CU year.

I’m going to be showing this video, since I think it explains the concept pretty well, and is pretty jolly exciting:

In summary: students reaching students. Awesome.
