On Kate at Christmas

At the moment I’m listening to While Mortals Sleep by Kate Rusby.

It is a Christmas album.

And yes, it is November, and I realise that’s a bit early for Christmas music, but I’ve been listening to Christmas tunes since October (when I was giving a seminar on ‘Making the most of Christmas’ and needed to get in the zone), so …

My standby Christmas music for the last couple of years has been Sweet Bells by the lovely Kate Rusby, so I was chock-full of joy when I found out that she’d released a new one this year.

Current favourites are Cranbrook and First Tree in the Greenwood, but that may change as I get to know it a bit better.

The walk to church and home again tomorrow will probably help with that.

If you’re looking for some Christmas tunes to carry you through the next week, do check Kate out. She does Christmas music very, very well.

In summary: folky.
