On St Patrick’s Day

Lá Fhéile Pádraig Sona Daoibh!

This year celebrating St Patrick’s Day took the form of a day up in Glasgow visiting lovely K-Mac.

We had a long lunch at TGI Fridays, including a Frozen Black Irish for me, since it’s St Patrick’s Day and so drinking a cocktail at lunchtime is fine, especially if it has that much ice cream in it, because then it’s practically pudding.

Followed by a wander around town, a Starbucks, much awe as we listened to the various and talented Buchanan Street buskers, and just a generally lovely catch-up.

Hanging out with a lovely friend was just the medicine I needed. The Scottish sunshine was the icing on the cake.

In summary: Irishness in Scotland.
