In true 21st century British fashion I’m back to blogging about the weather.
Here in Keswick it is raining. Natch.
I quite like the rain here, or at least this kind of rain.
It’s the type of weather that my mother calls ‘soft Irish rain’, my friend, Hannah, refers to as ‘mizzle’, and Peter Kay labelled ‘that fine rain that soaks you through’.
Basically, it’s wet, but not heavy, and in Keswick it basically means that the cloud is so low on the mountains that you’re walking through it. Which is rather fun.
And I get to wear my wellies, which is always a win.
However, it’s a little less fun for the folks who are camping, and it does make the hanging around between meetings and chatting to the young people, and all that jazz, a little more difficult. So we’re rather hoping for some sunshine tomorrow.
In summary: weather related.
