Up early to go to church via Northumbria Uni (for to represent Christ Church to the Freshers seeking a church on their first Sunday in the city).
A Metro ride into town, along with some of the 54,000 Great North Runners on their way to the start of the race (complete with trainers and shorts and a multitude of brightly-coloured wigs).
A quick wee coffee at Pret, and a visit to Northumbria Quad (none of the Freshers wanted to join me for a trip to Heaton, so I headed to the bus alone).
Creche duty at church, so lots of cuddles and cars and farmyard animals with wee ones.
More coffee (and chats with new and old friends).
Lunch with lovely friends, so lots of roasted goodness, (and Cookie Dough ice cream for pudding).
A hilarious incident of chasing (and eventually catching) two escaped guinea pigs around a living room.
A couple of losing hands at Jungle Speed.
Thai Green curry for tea.
Joy at the prospect of being excited to go to work tomorrow. (Glad to have a job I love.)
In summary: so random, but so fun.
