This morning I was super-productive, and finally fulfilled a lifelong (although rather lame) ambition:
I got up three hours early for church and actually used my over-ripe bananas to make banana bread.
The up-early situation was, obviously, pretty monumental in and of itself; but the big shocker was the banana bread.
It’s something that I always intend to do. I buy bananas, eat some, watch the others get browner and browner, think ‘Oh I must make banana bread!’, don’t, and eventually throw the totally-brown and inedible fruit into the bin.
But not this time. This time I won the fruit war and cake was made. It took forever (nearly 1 and half hours) to cook, but it was ready in time to be sliced and brought along to church.
In summary: cake win.
