surrounded by clouds

On the Rusty Angel.

This afternoon, Vic-the-housemate and I went and visited the Angel of the North, or ‘that Rusty Angel’, a nickname recently overheard.

It’s not far from home, although it took us slightly longer to get there than it should have, when we came off the last roundabout one exit early and found ourselves involved in a little detour around Team Valley.

Still, we made it eventually, and were suitably impressed by its general hugeness.

In summary: biggest sculpture in Britain, don’t you know?
