On being duped.

Easter Monday, a beautiful, sunny, spring-like day. Pops says, ‘Let’s go for a walk. Nothing too far.’

10 miles and about 3 hours later we made it home.

An ‘Urban Walk’. Apparently that’s all the rage these days, but, handily, since the bustling metropolis we hiked around was only Carlisle, there were still fields and streams, mountains and trees, and sheep, to brighten our view.

Here’s the route, drawn in red by my wobbly mouse in Paint. So high-tech.

the walk

In summary: walking.

In my defence, at no point did I ever utter the words “nothing too far”. And in any case, it wasn’t. It was only just far enough to get home again.
