Another barbecue and the annual Durham vs. Yorkshire cricket match.
And I’m thrilled to report that this year the victory belonged to Durham. Despite the absence the north east’s star player, Hamish Sneddon, and a couple of tense moments where the competitive nature of some of the players threatened to ruin the otherwise cheery sportsmanlike nature of the game, it was a lovely (short) match, and I feel that I’m understanding a little more of the rules every year.
