100 Women is a campaign/series being run by the BBC throughout October.
There’s a very interesting video here.
And an article explaining what their plan is here.
And here’s a quote from it:
Women around the world have achieved extraordinary things during the past century. But despite major steps forward in securing political, cultural and social rights, women everywhere face steep challenges compared to their male counterparts….During October 2013 the BBC’s 100 Women season will seek to shine a light on life for women in the 21st Century – the risks, challenges and opportunities they face every day, in every country.
And we want our global audiences to tell us what they think…
I’m planning on answering some of the questions, and reading what they’ve got to say about it all. Why not get involved yourself?
Tweet about it using #100women, if you’re a blogger, why not write an article of your own to join in the conversation, and if you’re not a blogger but have something to say anyway then do let me know – I’d be happy to host. (Offer open to all, even my male readers…)
In summary: 100 women.
